We do not collect personal data. Color sampling, image analysis, and palette generation are processed locally on your Mac.
1. Information We Process
Color Picker does not require an account or sign-in. It does not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, locations, usage records, or other personal information.
2. Screen Color Sampling
Screen color sampling uses the macOS system color sampler, NSColorSampler. The App receives only the color you select and does not record, retain, or upload screen content.
3. Image Color Sampling
The App accesses an image only after you select it through the system file picker. Access is read-only. Image pixels are processed locally in memory, and the original image is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with a third party.
4. Local Storage and Clipboard
Color history and favorites are stored inside the App's macOS sandbox container.
Original imported images are not retained as history.
The App writes color text to the system clipboard only when you copy a value or complete a color-picking action.
5. Network Access, Third Parties, and Tracking
The App does not connect to developer-operated servers. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud AI, or third-party SDKs, and it does not sell or share user data.
6. Retention and Deletion
Local color history remains in the App sandbox until the related App data is removed. After uninstalling the App, you may remove its container data to delete all locally stored records.
7. Children's Privacy
Because the App does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
If the App's data practices change, we will update this page and its revision date and, where required, update the App Store privacy disclosure.
